What is a judgment?
A judgment is the official decision of a court of law at the completion of a lawsuit. It usually stipulates a monetary award to the plaintiff that is ordered to be paid by the defendant. Judgments are decrees against individuals, not properties. A common example of a judgment is a client that owes money to a business and hasnít paid. A judgment can order the client to pay the monies owed.
Judgments are useful to attorneys and collection companies who do collection work, and other credit and financial-related businesses who want target those who have obtained debt.
