Business plans move to Kaneville

Posted On: August 2002

Record Information Services of Elburn may soon be moving to Kaneville.

Jeff Metcalf, owner of Record Information Services, proposed to Kaneville Township officials that he move his company to the David Werdin Community Center in Kaneville.

Metcalf said he is looking for a place to give his business more space while remaining in the area.

"As much as I don't want to move out of Elburn, this (moving to Kaneville) still allows us to stay in the country and near Elburn," Metcalf said.

Lease terms are still being negotiated, Metcalf said.

Kaneville Township Supervisor Leon Gramley said that both the township and Metcalf would like to see the move happen.

Metcalf said moving his business is just a natural evolution. He needs someplace bigger than the current location for his number of employees.

"I have been incredibly happy with the space (in Elburn)," Metcalf said.

The target moving date would be sometime in the fall if both parties can come up with an agreement, Metcalf said.
